Wet Paint Gift Guide,

It is a time to evaluate our
goals & start setting new ones. How is the market changing? How
are we responding? How are our customers changing? Are their needs changing?
Do we get the product to them in different ways?
We’ve always served three
types of customers: serious artists, students & the general community.
But the longer we’re in business, the more corners of the art
world we find. Besides calligraphers & landscape painters, we now
also serve cartoonists & botanical illustrators. Through our website
& via email we maintain relationships with customers in other parts
of the country. This technology helps artists everywhere find some of
the more obscure products we stock. We’re working with more students
too. We build kits for professors so their students have all their supplies
the first day of class. And the surrounding community challenges us
with their home projects, their roles as occasional artists, & their
gift giving needs.
Our number one goal is to have
the product you need, when you need it. Now you, the customer, may not
always know what you need or want or what’s available & that’s
where we need to be creative. We look at new products from our suppliers
& anticipate a good match to you, our customers.
We are also committed to doing
business with vendors, suppliers & manufacturers who share the business
values of Wet Paint. We support artists because artists are our customers.
And if artists have created products we support them by selling their
products at Wet Paint. We prefer to do business with companies that
employ artists. We support companies that understand the importance
of art; companies that make quality products that perform well &
last for generations. And we choose companies that have maintained a
manufacturing tradition in the United States, close to the end user
& the way in which those materials are used.
The key to bringing these products
to you is the Wet Paint staff. Whether Dan & Kristina greet you
at the door, Greg responds to your email, David frames your artwork,
Verra wraps your favorite sheet of paper, Michaela finds your special
pen refill, Justin stocks your Moleskine journal, Ann & Donnie order
new items, Tim sends you the newsletter, Paul & Liz show you the
newly arrived Lapis Lazuli from Golden Acrylics, Darin custom designs
a paint set for your special aunt, Emily boxes your shipment to Seattle,
Nichelle gets you a gift certificate & Beth makes sure everyone
is paid on time, we’re all here to earn a living, have some fun,
& most importantly, to help you along your creative path.
