Attention, calligraphers and artists who like drawing with calligraphy nibs!
Wet Paint is now stocking Pilot Parallel Pens.
These new pens were the talk of the international calligraphy
conference held in Collegeville last summer and generated a
great amount of interest at the Colleagues of Calligraphy during their February meeting, where we first unveiled them
in the Twin Cities. Often hard-to-find, they offer crisp
edges, sharp hairlines and extremely smooth writing.
The nib point consists of two parallel
metal plates, and can achieve beautiful and sharp lettering
in two sizes. Write with a .5mm edge for sharp monoline writing or with the broad edge for calligraphic writing. Write a broad stroke,
then turn the pen on its edge for a fine hairline to complete your letter. You can also produce attractive, color
blended letters by touching ink from one pen to a second
pen loaded with a second color. Pens are available in four sizes,
and each pen comes with one red and one black cartridge.
The color-coded
pens come in four nib sizes: 1.5mm, 2.4mm, 3.8mm, and 6.0mm. In
addition to the pens, 12 mixable color cartridges are available.
Individual colors come in six-packs, and we have a 12-pack that
contains one each of the entire rainbow.

Ink Crystals
Also new are Walnut Ink Crystals,
the peat-based ink in crystal form that allows
you to blend your own depth and potency of ink with distilled
water, from sensitive sepia washes to various intensities of
