Mark” Sale, we submit these new additions to the drawing
department for your review.
Derwent has expanded its drawing pencil range
from a meager six colors to an exciting palette of twenty four natural
tones perfect for landscapes or classically influenced portraiture.
The color applies in a smooth, velvety stroke; not quite waxy and not
as brittle as a pastel pencil. It really is a unique offering. They
are available individually or in sets of 6, 12 and 24 pencils.
Your friends from Austria, Cretacolor, have brought
you several new drawing materials this season. Art Chunky is an 18mm diameter colored charcoal stick available in ten earthy tones.
Many of our customers have been impressed with Cretacolor’s Chunky
Charcoal; Art Chunky is the color version! Not only can you
use Art Chunky colors for traditional drawing techniques, they are recommended
for use in conjunction with watercolor due to their exceptional water
solubility. Art Chunkys are sold individually and in a set.
Cretacolor is also responsible for AquaStic, the new
lightfast water soluble oil pastel. AquaStic features an ultra smooth
consistency for smooth application and brilliant, strong color even
when blended with water. They can be used transparently or layered opaquely
for encaustic-like techniques. AquaStic comes in 80 individual colors
and in sets of 10, 20, 40 and 80.
Although Wet Paint has stocked the Pentel Color Brush Pen in black for some time, the full selection of colored pens is relatively
new. The Pentel Color Brush Pen is a refillable cartridge pen with a
synthetic brush tip. It’s like having a paintbrush with the color
already loaded inside! Each brush pen comes with one cartridge and refills
are available separately in18 colors.
Brand new and due in as we go to press are the Gelly Roll Clear
Stardust pens. This pen produces a broad .5mm sparkly line
ideal for highlighting and embellishing. Gelly Roll is also introducing
new colors in their Glaze family of raised, glossy
line pens.
Sharpie Mini is here! This
cute marker is half the size of the original Sharpie and features a
removable cap clip that allows you to attach your Sharpie Mini to a
key ring or lanyard.
