From Spain, New Drawing Materials for the Young Artist
Regular Wet Paint customers are aware that we’ve expanded our offering of quality art products for young folks during the past year. The Faber Castell Red Label series, Speedy Pete tubed watercolor, Strathmore’s Kid Series pads, and Creativity for Kids sets are just a few of the newer items that have proven popular with parents and young artists alike.
Joining these groups is a line of crayons, markers, colored pencils and writing instruments from Spain.
Inoxcrom is a company that since 1942 has been a manufacturer of fine writing instruments and is notable in that their products are made at their central production facility in Barcelona.
Quality color in interesting combinations and delightful packaging make these new art tools attractive to young and old alike.
The Drawing Factory of Pamplona: “Kukuxumusu” is Basque for “the kiss of the flea.” It’s also a small company out of Pamplona affiliated with Inoxcrom. It began as a fun project to sell souvenirs at various Fiestas, featuring cartoons parodying bull-running, and has since taken off world-wide.
Crayons from Spain: These two crayons first caught our eye. Above is a two-color, single beeswax crayon. Below is our first plastic (non-wax) crayon-- durable, unmessy and available in bright colors. Both are available in sets.
