Summer 2010 
The last two years of economic downturn have many of our customers asking, how’s business? Is Wet Paint going to come out OK?
It is very heartfelt and reinf orces the bond we feel with our community. But for Wet Paint, the challenge is not just the economy. Along with everyone watching their spending, purchasing habits have changed.
With our web store, Wet Paint now has regular customers beyond our neighborhood. On the flipside, our local customers now shop around the world online.
Added to that, we find artists are purchasing different materials than they did five years ago. Fewer artists define themselves as oil painter or watercolorist. Artists tend to look at their current project and let that dictate their media. And the new media may be looking back at materials such as encaustic and indigo dye or fast forwarding to mixed media using digital images on Duralar.
So this three-prong attack on business keeps us busy at Wet Paint, trying to anticipate what the world will be like today, who will be our customer tomorrow and what they will want next week. We remain committed to bringing you products, pricing and service that our ever changing culture demands.
