As a World (of International Paper) Turns,
New Sheets, Young & Restless, Arrives at Wet Paint, Including...
The Bold and
the Beautiful
We found them again -- new papers like you've never seen before.
Etal
Etal has turned metal into 8.5x11" and
20x27" sheets! Genuine copper, silver, and stainless steel is applied
to a flexible backing, yielding a sheet that behaves like paper. A variety
of textural patterns is available in each metallic finish. Think collage,
cards, scrap etc ... try pigment powders and print methods for further
dazzling effects. Etal papers promise to add glitz
and grit to your work.
Cavallini
The Italian imports from Cavallini are a series of
reproduction images that have been an immediate hit. Patterns range
from anatomy to botanicals, children’s
toys to alphabets, and most popular: antique
m aps of Italy, Paris, and Tokyo. Great for end sheets in the
right book, but also suitable for framing and displaying in your home
or office.

New
Sheets from India
The bold and beautiful new Starburst and Chevron patterns expand our line of India silk-screened papers, while several
other new lines combine silkscreen with fabulous embellishment: Zig
Zag's combination of silkscreen and embroidery yield a textile-like
effect, various new India Glitter papers combine glitzy
design with silkscreen, and Crop Circles pairs embossed
circular patterns with bright crystal beads. (Think of the Mel Gibson
movie Signs.) Also, don't miss Tin Ceiling -- an exact miniature version of antique ceiling relief design -- available
in pearl, copper, or silver.
New
Sheets from Japan
From Japan we have two new screen-printed decorative
papers. The first has a circular pattern that resembles parasols viewed
from above. (Think June Taylor Dancers from the Jackie Gleason Show.)
Printed in three different pearlized colors, they have a white on white
effect. The second paper (called Raptors, through most
likely originally meant to be cranes) features the same subtle
pearlized colors but with a small graceful bird motif.

The Wet Paint Paper
Department has special viewing folders of these new arrivals.
Oh, yes. And coming soon: plastic patterned
sheets from India that are
made from trash found in the environment. Add even more grit to your
work!
