Professional
Watercolor Paint
Available at Wet Paint

GRAHAM
American-made and very affordable. Graham watercolour uses honey as one of the ingredients in it's vehicle which imparts moistness
and greater fluidity. It also allows the binder to sustain a greater
concentration of pigment. Graham features a short colour range of 35
15ml tubes.
HOLBEIN
Japanese watercolour known for an extensive colour selection. Holbein produces several unique and very popular colours including Opera (a
lovely pink hue) and Shadow Green (a black pigment with a green undertone).
Made without the wetting agent ox gall that most other companies add
to their water paints, Holbein is a slightly "'slower" paint.
5 & 15ml tubes.
SCHMINCKE
HORADAM
Excellent professional paint from Germany. Horadam features a large palette with good colour intensity and smooth, consistent
working properties. The only company whose pan colours are formulated
from the same recipe as their tube colour. The pans are slowly filled
rather than pressed, imparting a moistness that allows the colour to
be picked up quickly. Five & 15ml tubes and 1/2-pans.
SENNELIER
Frenchmade watercolour still produced according to Gustave Sennelier's
formulations and techniques from the 19th century. Sennelier,
like Graham, uses honey in its binder. Distinctive for their unique
reds, including several lake colours. 21ml tubes.
WINSOR & NEWTON
Probably the best known watercolour on the market, Winsor &
Newton has been making paint in England since the middle 1800's.
A fine professional grade watercolour that many feel is the standard
by which all other watercolour paints are measured. 5 & 15mi tubes.
In addition to the
above, Wet Paint also stocks Yarka's St. Petersburgh and Pelikan's professional grade full pan sets. For
the student interested in economy priced colour, Wet
paint carries Daler Rowney's Aquafine and Winsor
& Newton's Cotman in open stock and in sets, as well as
a host of other sets including Yarka, Prang, Reeves, Van Gogh and others.
In a more esoteric
vein, Wet Paint also offers several choices in a less conventional watercolour: Dr. Martin's liquid colour in jars, D'uva erasable
watercolour in jars, Peerless concentrated watercolour in sheets and Holbein's Irodori Antique (whose palette
is based on classic Japanese colour) in tubes.
Many watercolourists
use gouache to supplement their transparent paints;
Wet Paint carries both the Schmincke and Graham lines of artists' gouache as well as Winsor & Newton and Holbein's designer lines.
Other products to
consider for the watercolourist at Wet Paint include an extensive line
of watercolour mediums and friskets,
over thirty different watercolour palettes and almost
forty different lines of watercolour brushes.
