"I have painted landscapes and portraits with watercolors for many years. As a result I have very definite opinions about my tools and supplies, some would say I am obsessive.

Recently I bought a few tubes of M. Graham Watercolors and was blown away by the quality and power of the colors. They were difficult to work with at first because the color was so much stronger than the paints I was used to. But now that I have caught on to them I am able to paint far cleaner color even with earth pigments.

I normally paint outdoors with pan colors but have found that the Graham tube colors re-wet easily enough that I can fill the pans with them. They have a nicely balanced line of pure single pigment colors and not a lot of silly mixtures with undecipherable names as some manufacturers do.

I like doing business with smallish American businesses who make an honest product."
