"I have been using Williamsburg oil paints since Wet Paint introduced me to them years ago. I have found them to be friendly, dependable and they work well with others. The unique line of colors is becoming an ever larger portion of my palette.  How could I survive without Zinc Buff or Extra Yellow Pale?  The Unbleached Titanium is the best in the business. I primarily paint on panel for the hard surface suitable for “scrubbing”, pushing paint around and modeling. I rely on Williamsburg paints for their density and opacity which are well suited for thick layers and modeling.  The transparent and semi-opaque colors lend themselves to glazing, a technique I often employ when the going gets tough.  The mere heft of a tube held in the hand tells you this is a quality product. Recently I was in Wet Paint to see some new colors  and Darin Rinne forced me to buy a tube of French Ardoise Grey.  I loved it. Powdered slate.  Who knew?  It only goes to show  Williamsburg is not resting on it's laurels but always improving.  They may not be the cheapest paint on the block but it's a bargain nevertheless."
